COVID-19 Update – 11/18/2021

To Our Valued Clients

For more than 20 months the Maryland area; as well as many other jurisdictions, had to adjust and take extreme precautions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout this span of time, there have been many changes and challenges both on an individual and business level. These have truly been some challenging times for us all. Nonetheless, our staff at Takoma Park Animal Clinic continues to work diligently and hard to provide our pet parents and patients with the best service and to do that safely.

Although things seem to be improving, we are not out of the woods yet. Recently, the state governor lifted the indoor mask guidelines mandate; however, our office continues to keep the mask policy in effect. All employees and visitors are required to wear a mask indoors and when interacting with each other (indoors or outdoors). We also ask that you maintain 6 ft when encountering our staff. Additionally, we also ask that you sanitize your hands at the available hand-washing station upon entering the building.

We have decided to continue curbside service at this time. However, we are allowing clients to enter the office for the following brief services: to pick up already prepared prescriptions and food products as well as to make payments. Clients are not allowed in the clinic during appointments at this time.

We are constantly monitoring the COVID-19/Delta situation. Our goal is to make every effort to ensure we can continue to serve you and your companion safely during the continuation of the pandemic. As things continue to improve, our management staff will inform you when the office will begin allowing clients to come in during appointments. We will also continue to keep you informed of any future updates as we all maneuver through this new “norm”. We thank you in advance for your understanding and support as we strive to meet the needs of all stakeholders involved. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Note: Please be advised that we are providing services under modified procedures in an effort to keep our staff and clients safe due to COVID-19. Our office is offering CURBSIDE service at this time. As a reminder, we asked that the person bringing your pet to the clinic be free of any COVID-19 related symptoms (as described by CDC). We also ask that if you or the drop off person have been exposed to COVID-19, to please refrain from bringing your pet. Please designate someone else to bring your pet for his/her appointment.
